The Biopolymers Facility offers oligionucleotide synthesis at substantial discounts through third party vendors. All orders will be processed and handled at the BPF and then delivered to the client by a BPF staff member.

Overview

The Biopolymers Facility has arranged discounted pricing for oligonucleotide synthesis through two third party vendors: Invitrogen (Life Technologies) and Integrated DNA Technologies (IDT). Our extensive client base and electronic ordering system allow us to group multiple requests for oligo synthesis together in one order, and pass the savings on to you.

Oligo orders can be placed through the BPF website at any time of day. During the week our staff gathers all of your synthesis requests and sends one order to the vendors at 2:00pm. All orders placed through our system after 2:00PM will be included in the next order request.

Direct shipping to the Biopolymers Facility allows for rapid turnaround time. Most oligonulceotides requests for the lowest scale and no additional purifications or modifications will be delivered to the client within two or three business days. Any further processing such as 5’ or 3’ modifications will require additional time to synthesize and deliver oligos to your lab.

Direct Delivery

Once oligos are received in bulk at the Biopolymers Facility our staff will sort and package the individual orders for distribution to our clients. In order to assure prompt delivery please maintain accurate location information on our web database. You can check and update your address information online under My Account – Edit Account. The BPF is not responsible for oligo orders once they have been delivered to the location specified in your account.

Pricing

The price of each oligonucleotide ordered depends upon synthesis scale, purification type and length. Below is a chart detailing the various options available through our facility. If you wish to order something that you cannot find in the chart below, please email us at oligos@genome.med.harvard.edu to determine if we can obtain the specifications you desire.
